Meet the Founder & Facilitator

Jeannine Hawkins

Wild Hearts & Horses is a non-profit equine facilitated practice whose primary focus is to help human hearts with the heart of a horse. WHH is a 100% heart project founded by Jeannine Hawkins.  Jeannine has experience as both a former special education teacher and general education teacher.  After realizing how few resources the community in and around Cheyenne, Wyoming has to assist in aiding our youth with mental health issues and acquiring social-emotional skills this heart project was founded.

Jeannine is a PATH Intl. Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning (ESMHL) and has over a decade worth of experience serving public school districts as a certified teacher (TX & WY), and serving equine therapy centers in Texas, Colorado, and Wyoming. This center will provide an alternative to talk therapies and regular play therapy. A dream of teaching and reaching youth, who truly need something extra, alongside equines is founded with this non-profit.
